Apparently I was rushing through my crafting steps for my Mesmer’s armor, Star Crescent, and when I finally made the Saphir’s Breeches (Ascended Assassin Light Leggings) I immediately went to put them on and I saw the icon swap to Student Leggings, making me believe that I was indeed wearing the ascended item. I went ahead to go salvage the leggings that I ‘took off’ which was just a transmuted exotic, and noticed that I couldn’t. So, assuming that I couldn’t salvage, I proceeded to throw it away, thinking I picked it up through leveling. I noticed a glimpse of pink text when I went to the ‘Yes’ confirming this decision; and yes, due to my hyper state of efficiency I had already clicked the confirmation and was frightened having the thought that I had just deleted an ascended as if it were trash. And upon me double-checking, I did indeed just delete an ascended. I understand that this is a completely personal problem that I am ENTIRELY to blame for this, but what further startles me is how easily I discarded AN ASCENDED. (Expensive at that!) I’ve had to go through times where I had to type out the name for the item to confirm its deletion, (And that was on items that weren’t even rare) so this was considerably worrying. ((I’ve also confirmed that you can indeed delete an ascended armor/weapon with the standard trashing maneuver.)) What I am requesting here is to place the typing-name trashing protocol to ascended type items that are within the armor/weapon/trinket/jewelry slots respectively. Also to deal with the bug to this problem, the conversion of the icon of the ascended leggings to the transmuted leggings that I had on prior just by clicking on the item in question from my inventory, [That is, not the Hero panel,] when I believed I was equipping them and swapping my exotic transmuted leggings. (I also would like to reacquire those pants if that isn’t a problem with you, but if not I can.. probably come to understand. Eventually. Probably. Perhaps. Maybe.) I eagerly anticipate replies! From coos of comfort to mud-slinging of my idiocity.
