the event is bugged when the packed get the reinforcements heading there way we guide them to the pact rally but they just dissapear out of no where and the event leaves balthazaars temple contested meaning players cant get legendaries and so on

There are other ways to obtain obsidian shards (with Fractal relics and Laurels), but yes I can understand this still being annoying.

Better suggestion is to find servers that has Balthazar and then Guest to them.
You have 2 Guest privileges every 24 hour period so make your choice wisely.
