I believe there are some recipes missing that need to flesh things out that are killing a market very specific to some items that require doubloons, which are difficult to farm and pretty rare in the way of drops.

Today there is a refinement recipe for making 2 Silver Doubloons into a Gold Doubloon. This mechanic is missing for 2 Copper to Silver and 2 Gold to Platium, however, and this seems like an oversight. Maybe the oversight is deliberate, but I’m not sure I understand such a move.

Can we get a comment on this problem and what might be done to fix it?

If anyone is looking for Silver Doubloons, they are coming from The Maw chest event in Wayfarers Foothill(Norn starting area), just use a mid level character (I’m 34 and got 3 in the last 3 runs), my 80 doing the same event gets level 65 gems instead.

i tried using 2 copper doubloons, but it doesn’t show up in my discoveries list as an option.

Fix this ANet, begging you The cost of Silver Doubloons versus all the other doubloons should tell you how much this whole thing is out of whack.

Considering that right now there are 7 Juggernaut precursors on offer on the TP, and about 1530ish silver doubloons, that would allow for 6 of those precursors to be turned into a legendary. Making the doubloons an even more limiting factor than having a precursor.

That’s an interesting take on things, for sure. The simple act of allowing copper doubloons to be able to be crafted into silvers would help this out immensely.
