Just got set back 400 Armorsmith
Do you have more than 2 crafting disciplines on the same char? If that is the case you need to pay a fee to switch to a discipline that was previously inactive. Maybe you just added another crafting discipline by accident. Check the crafting tab in you hero panel thoroughly if that may be the case.

same thing happened to me , i had 400 rating in weaponsmith n 400 in leatharworker , then i swtiched to anothar crafting profession. After i activated my weaponsmithing again i see i have only 8 rating in weaponsmith insted of 400 rating i have submitted ticket n support replied i should post in bug section which i did n still i have 8 rating in weaponsmith nothing changed…..
As I know it, having maxed 2 crafts, switching them out, leveling 2 other crafts, then switch back to the first 2 crafts you maxed, should cost you a fee per level you have.
If you are back to 0, this is bugged.
Only other thing I can think of is that you didn’t have the money to pay for the fee and thus got set back… Which in my eyes is still a bug.

i have 45g in my invntry since um poor……….n the fee of changing crafting afaik 40s (400 rating)

it shows 27/50 in ap :s …………….. in crafting panel it shows 8/75 rating n i can see all the inscriptions, they are in red.

it does, ye. it gave me 7 levels + 40 AP
Hum… Actually changing crafting disciplines… By now I assume people have relogged to eliminate the possibility of a client/server out-of-sync issue…
Is retaining levels after leaving the profession guaranteed anyplace? Time I check this out from one of my non-crafty characters…
Under Tradesman in the achievement panel, all completed disciplines will read 8 of 8 tiers and 400/400. This applies to the first character that reaches 400. Leveling with one character doesn’t apply to all characters. If you delete a character with any crafting experience, that experience is gone for good. But your achievement progress remains at the highest level achieved for any character.

i m sure that i have done weaponsmith to 400 cz that was my 1st crafting profession which reached lvl400 n i did that having ascended weapons in my mind so there is no mistake.

Have you checked all the weaponsmith levels on all your characters?
My tailoring was previously at 400, however a couple of months ago I went to make something and it was 0. Thinking I was on the wrong character I checked through each and every one to find it to no avail. I assumed I’d for some reason deleted the character with it, but this thread makes me wonder..
I sure anet keeps detailed logs on everything that goes on in this game. It’s getting someone to do the research to verify everyone’s claim. Good luck.
