Guild Wars 2

Hi all i recently got Kamohoali’i Kotaki on my ranger and as many know it doesnt show shark animations at all on Ranger on critical hits, i hear mesmer has the same proble so i did a little work and this is what i came up with when i emailed their support team.

and wanted to make sure this was a bug and that rangers 1-5 skills are all suppose to trigger the shark effect before i spend the time for the weapon, warrior seems to be the only 1 who can actually trigger it.. is this intended? or just a bugged waiting to be fixed"

Thank you for contacting the Guild Wars 2 Support Team.

What you reported is still not a known bug to us, it’s possible this only affected that player. In order to locate bugs, we gather reports from the in-game system and concurrent bug reports on the forums.

We can suggest you to ask other players if they experience the same. If they haven’t, it would be ideal to have them submit in-game bug reports to alert our Quality Assurance Team and have this corrected for a future update.

Unfortunately, we can’t provide you with a straight answer, but if you encounter this yourself, you’re welcome to contribute to the thread and submit your own bug report.

I then asked them if the 1-5 skills on ranger are suppose to actually cause effect or only certain skills and not all 5 trying to narrow the problem down their reply was:

“To my knowledge, critical hits should show the shark animation. If for some reason this does not happen with the Ranger, we will need to gather reports of this happening with that class in submitted bug reports, you can also contribute to the thread in the forum where this was reported in order to gather more reports of this happening.

SO in closing in order to get this fixed….. we need bug reports from people who have the spear and want to get it fixed….. atm its not even a known bug…. which interesting enough most people think they are “working” on it when in fact they dont even know about it….. oh and also a little more evidence to my find….. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Btyora_wK2Q at about 40sec is the underwater fighting with it… and as you see not 1 shark animation
