I have sent Arenanet numerous tickets on Karka Queen event crashing on me all the time including numerous bug logs too. It will either crash before Karka Queen event right when it ready to start, during Karka Queen Event, or even at the end when I have it done. Either way end result is no chest which I should have 5 times already and no Learned Trait for The Hidden Ninja.

I have a suggestion since Arenanet has not fixed the bug for Karka Queen for a lot of people and there are only 3 times it is on and if people miss they wasted a lot of time for nothing. Perhaps, Arenanet can setup the event for more than 3 times and setup guesting for more than 2 times just in case bug still has issues on other servers as well. Not really sure if guesting another server will fix issue though?

I don’t think that it’s a bug. It sounds more like a computer issue on your end. I have a few friends who just can’t even try to do karka queen because their computers can’t handle all the spells, particles, people, and mobs that appear during the event (usually the game just flat out crashes on them).

Have you tried turning all of your game graphics settings down as low as possible?

Same. I’ve discovered I can use the auto-detect settings (looks much better), so swapping back/forth isn’t too bad now.

It failed again I even guested it and I could not even get the chest or learned trait again. Arenanet big disappointment since they have no addressed my issue. I changed to low settings for animation to see if that makes a different so far I just keep wasting time and arenanet has no answer or even acknowledges I sent bug reports to them ):

Have you tried submitting a ticket? Since this technically isn’t a bug, your bug reports aren’t going to do much. But contacting support might get you some results or suggestions as to what you can try.

I started a thread on this a few days ago. Apparently our computers can’t handle all of the spell effects being thrown around and they’re running out of RAM. Even though I have 16GB of RAM, 32-bit applications can only use 4GB :/

Another tip is that you can join a party in Karka Queen, so just in case you crashed, you could still relog in the same instance.

It happens and is most definitely caused by the player blob fighting the karka queen. For me that was completely fixed by turning off player names and minimizing character limit/quality.

Locce you are a God Send, finally got credit for Karka Queen. The fix is what you said I had to change those settings game did not crash. Feel free to add me any time if you need help on anything The Hidden Ninja. You fixed the issue and Arenanet totally clueless about this bug on Karka Queen. I got Chest, Daily, and Grand Chest.
