Yep, looks like Anet introduced a language bug (I think the karka shells are now in Chinese and Korean). Sigh, where is your Q&A Anet?

it is not only on karka shells, but other things as well.

It has happened to me yesterday while playing crab toss. I can confirm that my Karka Shells turned into korean/chinese as soon as someone posted it’s alread “corrupted” shells in my chat, so maybe that’s how it’s spreading.

It seems to have gone when I logged off, though.

Prototype Fractal Capacitors were showing up with no text when you pinged them into chat (but didn’t have any Korean text on them). Other than that the I haven’t seen any other items with text bugs.

In terms of korean/chinese items dropping, everything seems to be fine; however, there are still occasional hiccups with names not showing correctly when they drop.

Some examples of this could be like:
1) No Picture or text but the item still goes in your inventory
2) Picture but no text
3) no picture but text

My guild leader got a superior rune in chinese after putting 4 random major runes into the mystic forge

Edit: if it matters, it was a superior rune of the dolyak

so GW2 is a cheap copy of a Chinese game ?
