All sources that give extra karma benefits are NOT working regardless of how karma’s obtained. I’ve submitted two support tickets in game and, much to my dismay, a new patch was released today with new content yet karma remains broken with no feedback to fix or address the problem. But I mean, of course ANet wouldn’t worry about little bugs like that when microtransaction(s) are doing so well, right?

378 karma is the standard rate of karma at level 80 in Orr. The average Jug of Liquid Karma gives 4.5k karma with no karma buffs ticking on a character. So, 2 weeks ago, I popped a 50% karma booster and a 15% guild karma flag, was getting around 7.5k per jug and around 500-670 karma per event.

Now, I’m simply not getting extra karma from ANY SOURCE, no matter what karma buff I have on or how I obtain my karma. Jugs of Liquid Karma don’t go over 4.5k and I cannot obtain more than 378 karma MAX in any event, anywhere in the game world. This also applies to those new, crappy on-use items (Kite of Fortune) that were so quickly released which also give 50% karma extra.

This is happening for me too – just wasted a karma booster, guild karma bonus+banner and almost a ton of karma consumables had I not noticed quickly. Not happy :/

Bit to dramatic, your topic title.
Just mention in the title that karma boosts dont work.

Another thread delved into this issue and a work around is to pop all your karma buffs, then log out of the game or even to character select, then log back into that character. The buffs should still be on your character and they are now activated and will grant the boosts to karma, though I think karma boost food may not have been included. The thread (I’ll try to find it) did extensive testing to see what might have been causing the issue (all players…not ArenaNet) and had all the different combinations. This was the only real work around they found for it.
