Kelvei not giving Theory of Ad Infinitum
I’ve completed the Unbound collection, but Kelvei just tells me to go craft the precursor, rather than offering the book to unlock the Ad Infinitum collection.
All other tiers allow you to do the collection alongside the crafting, and the tooltip states, that only the collection needs to be done to unlock the next stage.
So complete the precursor? I don’t see the problem. ANet’s never been 100% consistent about such things.
Precursor needs time to complete (it uses time-gated materials), but could be getting on with other parts of the collection while waiting on the time gates.

That doesn’t mean there’s a bug.
(If you want to start the collection now, buy the mats on the TP and continue crafting them, selling them as you go — if you choose your buy|sell offers carefully, you might even make a profit, although more likely you’ll end up with a modest loss due to fees.)
The tooltip (which states only the collection is required) doesn’t match reality – so either there’s a tool tip bug, or an actual one.

Everything except one more Fractal Journal can be done in one day anyway. And you don’t need to unlock the collection to collect pages.
But, as worth saying, achievement tooltips, Kelvei’s dialog options and actual behavior are inconsistent all the way.

I have the exact same problem as kalzana.
That asura won’t give me the Theory of Ad Infinitum to unlock the legenday backpack collection.
How to solve this ?

Did you craft the precursor?
Not yet. I suppose, as it NOT said, that we must craft it before …
I ran into the same “problem”. Tooltip says you need the collection finished, but reality is you need the precursor. Changing tooltips would fix this issue

Yeah, it’s confusing
