The task is to forge one aetherblade key, which I did and no reward. Has anyone else had this issue? I forged it whilst in Heart of the mists not that it should have been a problem

This Aetherblade Key Daily Task is related to the Living Story, which is PvE content, this and any other Daily Tasks related to the LS must also be completed in a PvE area.

Interesting how the system can’t recognise the task being completed regardless if it’s done in the normal world or the mists… I’ve been told the salvage achievement also is ignored if done in the mists

True. Though the salvage achievement can be completed in the Mists if the items are salvaged with a PvP Salvage Kit. Oddities and inconsistencies abound.

Indeed making the key in Tyria completes the daily as I just have done and got the shoddy backpiece….

I just got this bug in lion’s arch twice. Not even in an overflow. I’m just glad these pieces are cheap now…

I just tried it twice in Lion’s Arch with no luck.

Bugged for me and guildies also. I was in LA. Don’t know where guildies were.

I tried making two in TA Exp and it didn’t credit.

Same here, bugged everywhere, tried making keys on guest servers too. Nothing…it’s the last achievement I need for the back piece, as every LFG for the new path in TA can’t make it past the fire maze xD. Rotten luck.

bugged for me as well. tried it 3 times with no luck, i was at lowland burns doing shatterer events when making the key.

I was in Divinities reach.

Doesn’t seem to work anywhere.

Also bugged here, both times its come up as a daily. Guess I’m not geting th required 10 achievements as I’m still stuck on 7/10 and have had trouble finding a group who can get past the fire maze as well

Tonight I made 2 keys and didn’t get credit for the daily. Last time it was a daily, it worked fine ;(

Impressive, sounds like you might be the only person who it has worked for.

Where were you when you did it?

Can confirm that this achievement is bugged. I tried combining 2x 5 key pieces (not bought on the BLTC) and as you can see the achievement still does not trigger!

Same for me, tried in LA this morning with one character didn’t work. Changed toon,tried in bloodstone cove still no go…..

I got the same bug, tried in LA and WvW

Got the bug in Frostgorge, tried 5 times.

I also got it to work a few days ago ,I know I wasn’t in any 30+ zones if that helps
