Me and my team had made it to the final ship, and we were inexplicably all booted. When we entered back in, the story reset. How did this happen? Are you telling me I have to do that all over again?

Did the instance opener left the group? Or went to a different map?

I don’t think so. We were all on the ship, and then we got ported to cursed isle. On other MMO’s even if a party member did DC, you could still go back to where you were. This is incredibly frustrating because that mission is a PITA as it is.

Well, in this mmo, once the instance opener left the group or go to different map, you will get kick out of the instance. The best way to prevent this is to open it yourself. Sorry about your run though

There are 2 reasons for that, it counts as an instance and the one that opens is the ‘owner,’ and if the owner leaves the party, everyone is kicked. Also, there was an abuse of this mechanic in that the one that opened the dungeon could leave party at the boss, kick everyone else, and invite their friends to finish it. Now, they are kicked as well.

Unfortunately, with how it is implemented, this also means that the one that opens cannot switch character.
