Guild Wars 2

So this is about the achievement Kill the Hydra Queen in the bosses section. I waited at the right map and place, did the event and killed the queen. My clanmate got the achievement and i didn’t, while i had a gold medal on all pre-events and could open the chest.
So i tried waiting again, only did the last 2 events this time, but still nothing. Makes me think something is bugged in my account? No one else in the map seemed to have it.
I don’t want to wait for it again just so i can bugg again. Also, Shadow Behemoth seems still bugged on Far Shiverpeaks.

The same thing happened to me. I got the achievement on the second time I did the Hydra Queen event. And I got gold medal on both occasions.

I’ve checked the discussion on wiki page, they say it might have to do with the damage you do to the boss. I’ll say what happened if i won’t miss it.
edit: it’s realy hard to find people to kill that Covington captain.
edit 2: i got the achievement, did the actual killing of the queen with less persons so i could do more damage. Gess that was it. Thread may be closed if you wish.

i was first one to start the event, i destroyed all the canons by my self, then i start shouting at the map for ppl to come and help, then i start calling my friends to come also.. we made it to final boss, we killed her. my friends and other peoples got the achi, i only got the chest, i was waiting all day long for this… sh…. bugs happens i guess?…. possible fix soon? maybe ? no ? ok, thank you!

This is still an issue.

I had heard that is you get downed during the Hydra Queen fight you will frequently not get the achievement. It is still a bug, and could do with a fix, but it is doable, assuming that was the issue.

Happened to me and a guildie tonight. Very frustrating, since we sat through 3 LONG AND BORING pre-events, then the chain leading up to hydra, and then killed the hydra too. Gold reward on the event, chest and bonus chest, but no achievement. Like I would really sit around for 3 hours to get a level 77 rare ring? Really? C’mon. This is extremely frustrating. And it’s even more frustrating to log onto forums and see others have experienced this crap for months without response.

This happened to me twice on the Crystal Desert server, one of those times being a few days ago. So I’ve done the entire chain of events twice and still no achievement, I really hope this gets fixed soon

Killed Hydra queen, got “Gold” participation. No achievement.
