On my guardian, I -ALWAYS- know that I have a speed boost by the little trail is under my feet. When I used a kite buff and it gave me speed boost,at no point during the 10 minutes did I gain speed boost FROM THE KITE. My swiftness skill worked, swiftness from a kill worked, but as soon as either of those were worn off, I had no swiftness from the kite.
Swiftness is the most important thing, for me, and having learned how to get max swiftness out of each profession, I am 100% sure the kites are not working as stated.
Ps: most frustrating thing in the game for me is how pets catching aggro kills all of my ranger’s speed, when I am just trying to get somewhere. Being shot at when running away doesn’t make your slower in the real world!
It’s working for me. Keep in mind not all speed boosts give the feet trails, that’s specific to the boon Swiftness. You can see this pretty clearly with any movement speed signets, which speed you up, but don’t give that trail.
It’s only a 15% speed bonus though, so it’s relatively insignificant and easy to miss.
