Krewe Leader Dobbs - Timberline Falls
Apparently the Protect Krewe Leader Dobbs event in Timberline Falls has been bugged and won’t start since sometime in January.
It’s been bugged since much longer than January. However, it’s always available in ‘new’ maps, which includes:
- Immediately after a game update.
- On days in which Timberline includes the 4-event daily (since new maps are frequently required).
It doesn’t bug out after the first time, but something happens along the way that prevents its reset timer from operating properly. So it’s also worth trying out other instances of the same map. The most reliable way I know to do that is to guest to another server (I always sort the list by how full they are and choose from the top, although that probably no longer matters).
Probably the easiest thing to do is to leave a toon parked in Timberline near the event and just swap to it whenever you have 10 minutes (at login, before logout, or while you’re waiting for that Pizza you ordered). Eventually, you’ll be on a map in which it’s not bugged.
tl;dr it’s a longstanding issue with a workaround (that is tedious and annoying): keep trying until you find a good map.
