Got my freebie memory box today and had it drop 2 of the same acct bound miniature. Not complaining since it was free but it’d be a real annoyance to people who spent gems on it; to my knowledge the extra mini simply becomes useless clutter.

There is no assistance on this as this is not the duplicate bug, it’s deliberate. I better don’t say how many of those boxes I opened , but it happened repeatedly that you would receive duplicates, which truly is a bit of an affront.

I submitted a ticket for receiving a mini I already had (duplicate was account bound) and today received a response that this is not supposed to happen. I was sent a replacement box. So I encourage others who receive duplicates to submit a ticket.

How do you know there’s no assistance available? How do you know that it was deliberate? Did you contact support about about the duplicates you received?

I contacted support the first day and still have not received a response.

So I say no, they don’t know.

I like others purchased several boxes and got lots of duplicate minis. The issue I have is that it wasn’t stated anywhere that you can get duplicates so I reported it to Support and got a different response. There should be a consistent message on whether this is intended (which doesn’t seem to be the case) and if everyone gets a refund or replacement.

It shouldn’t come down to the luck of the draw on which CS person gets my ticket as to whether I am worthy of a solution or not.

It should be consistent, but won’t always be. There will always be new people and creative people (or uncreative) working support. Managers try to ensure consistency, but each case presents its own challenges. A simple request can be easier to fulfill than a complex one and it’s easier to have established formal process for older rewards than for stuff that just dropped.

If you don’t feel the initial response was reasonable, then appeal the decision.

Had you destroyed the duplicates? That makes a difference, sometimes.

I haven’t destroyed them hoping that a more customer friendly resolution is presented since it seems wrong that they would sell something that the customer has to delete versus trade in or sell given the customer provided gems/real money and got nothing. I say this since the boxes were not portrayed as being a lottery rng type of item.

Because I have opened many chests in the past and have got a good handle by now on recognizing what type of item applies as “duplicate” and what doesn’t. How? I know the method that 100% avoids the duplicate bug to happen. When this method is used, dulpicates get replaced with 2 keys immediately.

I know that these memory boxes open differently, as they have no pop-up window. But here’s the thing I learnt from the (buggy) system: When you let the bug happen, the next time (i.e., the third time) you receive the item, the bug gets corrected and you receive keys in retrospect as well as for the newly drawn dublicate.

Since I opened tons of these memory boxes and the “self-fix” never occured, it is save to say that these items do not qualify as “duplicates” and the repeated drop is deliberate.

So… you haven’t actually checked with support about these items. OK.
