I did the Disturbance in Brisban Wildlands and that seemed to go well. A day or two later I decided to do Fallen Hopes and ran into issues.
When anywhere but Dry Top, my map said that the point to go to was in the Northern Area of Tread Rock Uplands. So started my great adventure. After over an hour of searching, googling, wiki-ing, youtubing and finally asking players in Dry Top, I got to the area indicated on the map. I even went to my Guild’s Hall and came back to make sure I was in the right area but the Green Dot wasn’t there.
So I went to LA and asked if anyone else had an issue, I got several suggestions but none of the answers applied. I looked in the upper right and it said to meet Spark at the Crash Site. I was told in LA that the Crash Site is the first area of Dry Top that I quickly passed through. So I went there and looked around. I finally saw a Zephyrite with a Green Dot over her head. I’m guessing her name is Spark. Yay! This led me to another Green Dot that appeared and then was gone (thank goodness I’m not that senile and remember where to go), which led me to another Green Dot.
Things went well for a short while. I met up with Marjory and Kasmeer (love them btw). We jumped, speeded and teleported, and found a dying Zephyrite who talked about her boss, the Keeper of Peace. That part was a little weird; first Kasmeer talks about porting us and then we talk to the dying crewman and then we port. So I get to the part with 3 Green Dots. I go to the one that is by the hull but there is no Green Dot. I go to the charred remains, get told to talk to Marjory but she isn’t talking. I go to the journal, get told to talk to Marjory who now talks to me about the burnt remains. I go back to the first Green Dot and now Marjory wants to talk about the journal but I don’t see a Green Dot. I kill a few Dust Mites and Twister and try again, finally jump off the cliff, go back to the # Green Dot area and the story progressed.
I just thought I would let you know my experience as a new player and someone who hasn’t played a game like this in over 10 years when I used to play GW1 with my children. I love the stories, the jokes, the animation. I have learned that GW2 teaches without instructing which is Great! Fantastic Game! Awesome Devs and Players (except in Raids where some can be very impatient and mean, lol) Thank you for may hours of fun!
