Hello.

Today I finished world completion on my second character. When I finished it, I got an unexpected Lake Doric Map Completion chest over the minimap along with the other world completion rewards. The chest had a black lion key in it. I didn’t take a screenshot of it. My main character did complete lake doric. This character has been in the Lake Doric zone, but didn’t complete it.

That’s an old-time bug from before the Lake Doric map was released.

Your character should (may?) get another one when it completes the new Lake Doric map.

Well, I got a completion chest from the new map, and I long since had the old map one, so … I think so. Count it as a lucky bonus map completion reward.

I just finished World Completion on my third character and I had the same thing happen. I got a chest for the zone I completed (Iron Marches), the World Completion loot, and a transmutation stone for completing Lake Doric. I had actually heard of this bug beforehand, but this is only going to get more confusing for people that haven’t, since Lake Doric is an actual map in the game now.

In case the information matters for a bugfix, I hadn’t even set foot yet in Lake Doric on the character that had this happen at the time I finished World Completion on them.

FWIW, that completion is actually the “original” lake doric map — the one that “leaked”, and that got scrapped before the game launched. The new lake doric also rewards on completion.

Additionally to the “fake” Lake Doric chest it also gives a “Chantry of Secrets” chest for me as I just noticed again.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure that is the actual chantry of secrets map, which has nothing to complete, being magiced or something by finishing the rest. shrug it’s an oddity in GW2.

Well, there is a Point of Interest to complete in the Chantry of Secrets map/instance. So, one thing. =P

Then I guess there is a discarded Chantry of Secrets make, like the Lake Doric one, hanging out somewhere in the history of the development of GW2.
