I was in Dry Top hanging out doing events, all of a sudden, my spear popped out as well as my Wintersday Re-breather. Immediately the NPCs dissapeared and then I was all alone. ;-;

Except friend in my party he saw the spear and the frosty re-breather as well as the npcs.

Land Speargun too.

Happened to me too while on LA new JP and died a while after lol

I know the feels, happened to me today in SW. Anyone know what causes it?
(Is ANet teasing us!?)

Another one (probably related to the bug of the spear), apparently being up in the sky i still get affected by the current!

Edit: Interesting i logged out to char select and back in, and i appeared at a totally different location, i think the server is getting confused about the player position. I appeared under water where the “Current” message made sense.

I reported this earlier as water weapon equipping in the drytop desert and it was removed……

I had the same thing a couple of times in Field of Ruin, both times during events.

Either I randomly died after a few minutes, or I logged out and when I logged in again I was in an otherwise unreachable point on the map. Once stood on the edge of a piece of texture overlooking a sea southwest of Ebonhold and the second time on a ledge overlooking Ebonhold to it’s southeast.

I agree with the theory that the server is losing the location of the player, probably dumping them at a safe point but the client and server are not seeing the same things. It “could” explain the random jumping deaths people are getting as well. The server sees you jumping off a cliff, the client sees you jumping off a box.
