Legendaries : Bug when Stealth
It has always been like that. It’s not just legendaries, and it would be hard to explain why it occurs without having a basic background in graphics programming/rendering, but it’s not going to be fixed.
You should try stacking auras on multiple legendary weapons and then consuming an Omnomberry Ghost, it’s even more apparent and was definitely caused by Feature Pack 2.
It has something to do with particle effects and their transparent backgrounds.
Since all image files are saved as squares…
When a particle effect with a transparent background has an effect added to it, the game is unable to differentiate between which is the particle and which is the background, and the entire image (a square) is effected by the effect.
I don’t know if it is possible or not, but there may be a way to get the effects to check for transparency prior to applying the effect to particle…..
I’m not a programmer…. and I have no idea how to fix it, I just know this is the cause of the issue.
But i do know that disabling particle effects on people/npcs effected by an effect (stealth, spectral walk/armor, petrified, etc.) would solve this issue 100%

Wow….. idk if someone at Anet read this thread and stealth fixed the problem…. but I’m definitely not seeing this any more in-game.
Nevermind….. I just saw someone with the radiant shoulders get stealth and the problem still persists.
Seems like the particle effects for weapons were removed during these transformations, but not from armor.
