On the legendary sword Bolt a lot of the time the effect around the character will not always show when normally it does. I believe this to be a bug.

I just got Bolt today. Was a lot of work. I noticed almost immediately when doing my first dungeon that the Lightning aura goes away sometimes for some reason i can’t figure out. I start combat with the aura and during combat at some point i have no lighting around my character, only the sword will have lightning. I wield it in the main hand and i’m a mesmer if that helps. The aura comes back on it’s own or sometimes if i unequip and re-equip the weapon. But sometimes if unequip and re-equip that won’t fix it. Btw, this is when the weapon is unsheathed and i’m swinging it.

Anyway this happens sometimes, but enough to be very noticeable.

Okay, it has been a few days. I’m positive now that attacking with Bolt removes the aura. Whenever I’m in combat, the aura goes away. In combat, lighting pulses on the sword alone, no lighting around my character all. After combat I have to repeatedly press the Swap Weapon Sets buttons to get the aura to appear on my character again. Please fix.

I was crossing my fingers for a fix to this in the last patch… still crossing my fingers this will be fixed in the next one. This issue was first reported 6 months ago….

Bolt is buged as hell. 2x Bolt animation after attack

I’m still having the issue of not having an aura.

I have the same problem with legendary staff “The Bifrost”.
Aura effect randomly disappears while in combat or not. (while weapon is unsheathed ofc)
It happens generally in combat, crowded combat areas but can happen anywhere.
Happens with nearly all legendary weapons with special aura effects.

This issue with the aura has been fixed for me since the last patch on 9/3/2013.

I noticed that if you have Effect LOD selected under the graphics options a lot of the legendary effects just disappear. On my Incinerator the flame on my arm disappears fi I have that option selected

The problem of the aura not showing up sometimes has come back.
