I just relogged into the game to swap PC, and immediately received a mail from “Scholar Aiti” informing me that I had recently earned the God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals Title. Then proceeding to explain that it was an error and I had not actually earned the title. I checked and I no longer have the title, but have yet to check and confirm other missing rewards from HoM.
The message is right about one thing, there is certainly has been an error. I earned the GWAMM title in GW1 years before GW2 was released. I’ve only rarely logged into GW1 since GW2’s launch, let alone made any “recent” progress in any titles there.
I’m guessing this is related to the incident a year or two ago where new characters were being erroneously reward HoM bonuses. I might have made a BL key farming character during that time, but the GWAMM title and full HoM rewards have been a part of my GW2 account since pre-release head start.

Same here, seems accounts got un-linked for some reason, received email, all titles/achievements from gw1 legacy have been removed, my account from gw1 calculator:

nvm fix it seims the forum log in was proplem i fix it now i just need to us my old charr name with highest ap in gw1 and tipe name it out give my ap back in gw2
My HoM rewards have also been stolen. I logged into GW and went to Eye of the North to confirm that I still had the title for my account, I do. Went back to GW2 to discover that I still don’t have the title.
Apparently, I didn’t wait long enough before logging back into GW2. One needs to wait about 15 minutes or longer after going into Guild Wars to get your title back.
New mail since patch from LOR-748 revoked AP titles and rewards attached to HoM. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me.
I know the quick fix is logging into gw1 but unfortunately it isn’t installed on this computer.
The situation is annoying. Fortunately, the work-around is reliable (if slow).
Close GW2. (Sometimes that alone is enough.)
Load GW1. Start any character. (If easy, enter the HoM in EotN outpost.)
Close GW1.
Wait “a bit”
Restart GW2
There’s a widget that updates GW2 with GW1 HoM data. It triggers automatically every so often (every 15 minutes is consistent with previous reports) and after you close GW1. So some people will see nearly immediate results when they return to GW2; some people might have to wait a bit.
So far, I’ve yet to see a report from anyone who couldn’t get it to work, unless (a) they didn’t wait “a bit” or they forgot to launch a GW1 character.
Again, it shouldn’t happen, but at least we don’t have to wait for GW2 Support to fix it for us.
