I’m pretty sure that when Ember Bay came out, the lensflare was not permanently stuck at maximum size in your view when the sun wasn’t outside the camera frustum.
Whenever the sun comes into view, it immediately creates this constant flare ellipsis as seen in the attachment, which is kinda annoying.
