Just a heads up for any players allocating points in PvP, do it in a PvE map to get the elite spec weapon.

I started putting hero points into the elite spec line for my Warrior, Guardian, Necro and Memser. Only my Memser and Warrior got the elite spec weapon. My Necro and Guardian were in PvP lobby while my Warrior and Mesmer were chilling in LA.

I can confirm this. After I didn’t got my wepon on Engineer I unlocked rest of sepcializations in PvE.

I just unlocked the daredevil elite spec in the pvp lobby and i was not given the staff, and the collection did not unlock.

It worked fine on all of the other professions outside of the lobby.

please fix asap.

ahh thanks, just posted about this in another thread. That’d explain why my druid didn’t get anything. Will just have to get some Hero Points on my other ranger to start unlocking theirs.

Hopefully this will be fixed by the time I get around to doing that though lol.

I had the same issue earlier when I tried unlocking Druid in Heart of the Mists.

I had the same bug on Thief in sPvP map.

Other 2 different classes in pve map were ok.

same here. spent my hero points for scrapper in heart of the mists and did not receive/unlock my weapon

This happened to me also on my Thief. I was in sPvP lobby when I activated the Elite Spec Line and have no new Staff, and my Collection is still locked. It worked fine on my other characters when I activated their Elite Specs in PvE.

I was going to post this in the HoT Bug Report Thread but after a search I found this thread on the forums.

Same here… no weapon skin or collection unlocked. PLS anet give us a fix..

Yeah, the same problem. Druid in HotM.

Yep happened to my Ele in pvp. No weapon. Rest of my chars I logged in on the pve side. No issues on them.

Wish I had read the bug section before even trying to unlock my elite specs. I lost my shield and staff for druid and mes. So sad. I really don’t want to have to buy another exotic just for it to be given to me by support… I almost feel like I can’t play with chrono outside of pvp because of it. Please fix this soon. Like Today. If this goes for the whole week-end, I might just die… or you know, spend more time with my nephew. But still, he can be more dangerous than the Maguma Jungle.

a quick fix would be nice :-)

Why would unlocking things in PvP award you anything when you automatically get the things you’re “unlocking”? If you unlock it in PvP is it still unlocked in PvE? No, of course not. One of two things has to happen. You have to unlock it in PvE, which you probably don’t want to do, or there needs to be a reward track specifically for Elites in PvP, which is what they’ll probably do.

Can we just get the mastery reset so we can do it somewhere else?

Anyone tried getting some extra hero points and levelling the track again in pve to see if it resets progress? I stupidly spent all my points in PvP before realising it didnt unlock.

After gathering a bunch of HPs in the open world and unlocking the next thing in the elite spec line, the collection unlocked and I got the weapon drop. So yeah, you could get around this by earning HPs and unlocking the next trait down the elite spec traitline.

Thanks for the tip Leo: that’s great to know, at least i’ll be able to start (and maybe complete) the collection for my thief.
I wish i could do this for the mistward armor collections too: unfortunately they are unlocked by completing the base specs and i can’t even add more points into them now :S
