Lion’s Arch on Dragonbrand has extreme lag. Load times are 5-10 times longer than normal. Chat messages take 10+ seconds to appear. Same with NPC interactions and mystic forge use. Is this a problem on other servers as well, or just a Dragonbrand issue?

Update: The issue seems to be resolved now.

Other servers are fine. If your character is in DB Lion’s Arch, guest other servers and switch map.

I can confirm. It is bad right now on DB LA.

I would also like to confirm, and while I thank you for the solution, I would like to see ANET fix it plz. It’s a ghost town there because the lagg is that bad.

I can confirm LA is broken on DB, loading times are extreme, Exteme lag for skills and chat, and i cant even see a single NPC nor player in the map.

Confirmed here. We can’t use the Asuran gates at all within Lion’s Arch on Dragonbrand. First noticed when my wife tried to have a new toon visit another starting city, and yep, sure enough, can’t use those gates.

Scarlets breaking the game, 1 server at a time.

I can also confirm this. I cant even warp out of Lions Arch, or I get disconnected. When I re log in, i get the loading screen of the place I tried to warp to, but then get warped back to LA saying “Waypoint Contested”(this happened when warping to Rata Sum, and Divnity’s Reach, I also get deducted the money for the warp.

To add to my previous post, I was able to observe LA for a bit, and it’s definitely server lag related. Takes up to a minute for a vendor to respond. People are running against walls for a while before suddenly disappearing. Chat takes forever and a half. So it seems to be in how long it takes the server shard to relay information back to our clients, not just an issue with waypointing or using gates.

i can confirm no longer being able to warp out of LA and being poted back into la cause of contested area
even tho the warp point specified can not be contested(different town)
also some one told us to try guest ina different server
fine and all
but thats not how you SOLVE things
this is not a ow just ignore it forum section
its a BUG forum section
meaning we report things and then it gets fixed
not over looked

That being said, it was a useful suggestion to those needing to deal with it in the meantime, while it was being fixed. The guy who suggested it can’t fix the problem, but he can help with a temporary solution to ease the pain.

Anyway, seems to be working again for me. Anyone else still having issues?

Nope! Everything seems normal now.
