It seems like every time I try to do something that I haven’t done already in this game, I find that it’s broken. I made a Norn Engineer, got part of the way through the personal story, and found my progress blocked by a broken story path. so I deleted that character. Then I decide, even though I really don’t want to, that I will kill some Giants for the only Slayer Achievement that I haven’t finished. So I go to Brisbane, I stand at the spawn spot for the Broken Gollem for 15 minutes, until I start to wonder WTH. OH, no surprise this event is broken. The NPCs are just standing at the end of the event not doing a kitten thing. ( can you feel my frustration building? )So Now, I am trying to get the items for the Rare Collection “Treasure Hunter” and the very first item on the list involves and event chain. Protect Crewe Leader Dobbs. Which of course, will not begin, because it is broken also.

I encourage you to add others that you are aware of to this list, instead of burying each individual bug behind the next, pushing them to the back of the forum, to be ignored by the devs. And if you feel like telling me a thread like this already exists, feel free to post a link to that also.

It doesn’t help to list all bugs in one thread, so the Sticky advises.

And, yes, there are threads on those issues, with Dev responses, right on the front page.

I have linked to your post in my own thread about his particular event. Hopefully this gets someone’s attention at ArenaNet, because there doesn’t appear to have been a response from ArenaNet on these topics. (*Despite what the person who replied before me stated, I have found only ONE reply from ANet staff—it was multiple years old, and only asked for clarification on what the bug was. No response after that.)

Please provide links to the relevant “dev responses,” if you’re going to make this statement. I see nothing on the front page. Several threads like this from the last few days exist, and none [that I can see] have responses from developers.

Otherwise you’re wasting everyone’s time by providing misinformation. Maybe don’t reply to people if you’re going to do that. It’s better not to reply than to misinform.

I also have had problems with Dobbs event for the Treasure Hunter achievement. He’ll never start his event again. This really needs to be fixed. I don’t want to have to camp a event before a patch comes out to maybe be able to do the event. That’s not how the event is intended to work.

You need not sarcastically mention Google [as if to suggest I didn’t bother to do the legwork myself]. My own post on this topic provides a link to a Google search of the forums for all posts mentioning the word “Dobbs.” (The link is available elsewhere in this thread). Please do let me know which of those posts includes a response from a developer.
