Guild Wars 2

I have come across several events that are bugged. In most cases the bug causes the event to stall, leaving the event unable to continue. Then, after some time, about an hour or so, something will cause the event to reset but the event has failed, since it was never able to complete, but I will still get a reward for my participation.

I have reported these events through the in-game report a bug feature, but I’m not sure those are being looked at. The following is a list of events I have come across that are, or seem to be, bugged:

Gendarran Fields-
“Protect the Lupikids as they search for treasure” stalls during the battle with the wurms.
“Defend the merchant caravan,” the merchant escort event that starts in Newbeach Bluffs and goes to Cornucopian Fields always gets stuck on the bridge over Lake Bounty and I’ve seen it stall after the first wave and after the second wave of pirates.

Harathi Hinterlands-
“Defend the skritt thieves while they steal harpy eggs” always stalls halfway through the battle with the Veteran Harpy Matriarch.
“Defend the reclaimed camp by killing centaurs” doesn’t stall; it has 7 waves of centaurs that must be defeated, but this event is impossible, it seems that all 7 waves come at once. And you can’t use the catapults.

Edit: Bloodtide Coast-
“Protect the Priory team as they search for artifacts” is stalled with Explorer Smatti just standing there doing nothing.

Some more stuck events in brisband highland:
“Help the priory return the energy core…” – the escort npc’s are stuck near the town they emerged from.

Theres another event to escort 2 skritt with a chest in the top left of the area, forgot the event name, in wich the npc’s don’t move from their starting point either.

Lastly, theres “Help U.N.I.T find and destroy the inquest” – the quest is stuck at the “destroy the inquest holding cells” part – the holding cell’s hp is 0, but nothing happens.

I can’t help with the bugged quests, but I do know that you should still get a reward if an event fails – it just isn’t as big as the one you would get if the event succeeds.

Well, most of the events we reported don’t end at all, just gets stuck, so you don’t get any reward…

Anyways, don’t fret. we aren’t posting this to get help, we just want the developers to know theres a problem so they can fix it

I see the “Defend the merchant caravan” event is still bugged in Gendarran Fields. I sent a bug report a couple of days ago on this. Hope it gets fixed soon!
