I ran in to a bit of bother with is in the fallen hopes section from the screenshot it says I have to go to Dry Top so speak to spark however the waypoint they give you only leads you to the gate outside outside of Ligacus Aquilo which I cant get through. Is this happening anyone else? What can I do?

It’s a bug. The game normally directs you through the nearest portal towards where you need to go. For some reason it thinks that spot is a portal. Go to dry top and it will show you the correct place to go.

Be careful what you ask for
ANet may give it to you.

Something is screwed up. When I did this earlier, I went through the portal you clear in the part right before that, it took me to Silverwastes, not dry top. In addition, there was no marker anywhere in dry top and I had no idea who I was supposed to look for. At some point, I think it marked that step completed after I did the next thing.

@OP: That marker is showing you to the Halloween instance from the past two years. I believe it’s a bug that got introduced with the last Halloween and never fixed, though it may be there before.

To continue, go through the portal that’s near where Disturbance in Brisban Wildlands is located. It is actually possible to go straight to Dry Top from the Disturbance in Brisban instance when it is marked completed (the zone exit will become unblocked by vines and you can talk through).

@Misguided: If you went to Silverwastes, you were too far north for Episode 1 content. I don’t think Fallen Hopes allows you to skip content, either. So most likely, you didn’t have Episode 1/Fallen Hopes active, but something else.

Dear ANet writers,
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
