Guild Wars 2

So I was online Guild Wars 2 during the events of Living World Season 2, so it is unlocked in my journal. I had begun “Echoes of the Past”, but then quit it in favour of “Heart of Thorns” to get to Verdant Brink. Now, it says I need to purchase “Echoes of the Past” to play it. Is this a bug? It was free when I began. And, on my other characters, if I quit a story and start a new one, then quit that story and restart a new story, everything is fine and unlocked.

Please help. I do not want to pay 400 gems for this story just to understand LW2 for HoT.

(Tl;dr: I have LW2 unlocked my journal. I was one a mission, quit, began HoT, quit, and can no longer complete the original mission because I now need to unlock it.)

It is only appearing as locked for the one character that had started the initial Heart of Thorns storyline, but it’s unlocked for the others? Am I understanding that correctly?

My other characters have not reached that point, so I cannot accurately compare, unfortunately. However, I did do the same thing for them as this character (stop LW1 or LW2, start HoT, return to LW1 or LW2), and it was fine. I did that for chapter one of LW2.
