Long loading times, over 150s.

Same here, normal changes to other map or even starting a storymap results in a screenfreeze. I only can shoot down the whole game, but it is useless, because thast happens all thje time when i want to change in another instance.

wtf is happening everyone in my friendlist got dc come back got dc come back
there should delte the silly lifestream and focus hardly an another option for thoose problems

Some people are saying it’s specifically the 64bit client. Any of you on the normal 32bit and having this issue?

Jup, 32 here.

Same here. After 215sec of waiting i entered the fractals. Normal are 5-10sec. Or less.

No, it’s both the 32-bit and 64-bit game client.

Okay, that’s one myth busted. It still looks like some maps are more affected than others though. ><

anyone else having issue since that last patch, as most people have there alts parked in VB for Flax Farming , Since the small patch been stuck on Loading screen on Every Character an have to reload game 2/3 time for it to work

same here for personal story.. either takes ages or loses connection to server

The game is almost unplayable in this state. If they go home for the weekend without fixing this, they’re going to have a serious problem with the playerbase I think.

I wonder if this is ANet’s way of telling us to just finish map completion on that one alt that can still load into that one uncompleted map?

Same here. Well, more or less… I haven’t experienced a full freeze yet, but every map change after today’s patch results in LOOOOOOOOOOOOONG load times. It takes like 20x times longer than pre patch.

Well, atleast they said on livestream chat that the team is aware of the issue and is taking a look at it…

Same here, stuck on loading screen when trying to enter fractals.

I couldn’t get into Divinity Reach where all my characters are.

On Reddit there is one poor guy stuck in Arah, and you KNOW if they could find a way to leave him in there as an example to others still trying to do Dungeons they would..

Please fix this. This is getting very frustrating.

Worked fine all day…until I had to download a new zone. Rather than keep playing while it downloaded, I told it to download in the Foreground. I got stuck on the Loading Screen. I left it on said screen for about 30 minutes without any luck. I logged back in a few times with the -maploadinfo option, and it kept saying STATE_MAP_DOWNLOAD_ERROR on Loading Screen. Now, I can’t even get back to character select screen. As soon as I click Play on the launcher, my download speed drops to 0 kb /s and will go no further.

I already tried resetting router, deleting .dat file, and repairing. I also restored a backup of my .dat file, and it still doesn’t work.

I had no issues prior to this patch being deployed. I’m downloading latest nVidia drivers as we speak. Attached is a copy of report from Game Advisor.

I tried re-running tracert to several of the server IPs in the log file, and there were numerous lag spikes and request time-outs. There were no connectivity issues on my home network or getting to AT&T’s servers…

I input my email and pw, see a loading circle then… nothing.

Game shows up in task manager, but it’s not loading at all. Any idea what the issue is? It was working last night as of approximately 11 p.m. eastern time.

I finally got the game working by Turning off AMD’s Frame Rate Target Control!

I was able to get on my other characters finally by using the -clientport 443 argument in my GW 2 shortcut. However, my main character is still stuck at the loading screen to Harathi Hinterlands. I was in Gendarran Fields before zoning in to Harathi. The —maploadinfo option still says “STATE_MAP_DOWNLOAD_ERROR”. I guess maybe the Launcher will eventually download said zone file and allow me to play that character again since I still have haven’t gotten any response to the ticket I submitted.

I’ve also been experiencing this for about a month.
It seems to be mostly random if it’ll happen or not, but it’s most likely after picking a character after logging in. Only once did the loading screen freeze after using a waypoint.
The game is actually functioning, apart from not being able to see. I can move around, use skills and the world map and interact with the UI. I’ve managed to teleport to my guild’s guild hall, though the loading screen won’t change.
The issue occurs on both 32 and 64 bit versions.
Below is an example what the -maploadinfo says at the moment of freeze. MapLoadState is STATE_AGENT_STREAM every single time for me. ElapsedWaitTime doesn’t advance either.

I’ve tried deleting local.dat, clearing game’s cache and done -repair multiple times, but none of them have fixed it.

I think I’ve pinpointed the source of my issues. It’s launching the game with Steam overlay. The game and the overlay used to play nice together in the past, but some change in one of the two has made them somewhat incompatible.

Plus, I don’t get the frozen loading screen or hear in-game audio anymore.
GW2 turns invisible, but gets stuck in the forefront (essentially hijacking the whole screen), forcing me to kill it with Task Manager using my keyboard. And this is now more frequent than ever before.
