After the big (read: long) Dragon’s Stand meta, I was kicked. I relogged and was in the wrong instance, so I tried to join on squad’s instance and it just said network error. Any way I’m ever seeing that loot? Very frustrating, I have not done many of these

WOOOOOOW. Just repeated the event and it did the same thing.

This is what I get when I try to go back to the instance and get my ff;jsdlkfa chest.

First time? When you DC on a popular map, your spot is instantly filled by someone else. Maps are capped at 150 people. DC is pretty much game over in gw2

People can’t join the completed map so I guess that includes me. It’s kicking me at the same time after the event each time. That is gamebreaking, I can’t ever loot that chest? Just wasted so much time for that same thing to happen at the same moment? Can’t be coincidence. These are the only two DC’s that have even happened recently.

What you’re experiencing is nothing new unfortunately. DS in particular because the meta is so lengthy. Most players have experienced it at one time or another.

Whenever I run DS, I take extra precautions to try avoid crashes, e.g graphics on “best performance”, close other unneeded background programs, etc.

Your best bet is to try and figure out why you are crashing or DC’ing. Most of the time it is due to a problem outside of the game servers. There have been cases where the entire map crashed but it isn’t very often. Being the fact that it happened to you several times in a row then it sort of leads to a problem with your computer or connection. Was there any crash report or did it just say connection lost?

The screen shot you posted is normal, once the map completes the Meta, the map locks to prevent people from taxiing in and farming the completed map. That is what that screen is telling you. It should say " The map you are trying to join has completed the Meta and is locked", this would prevent people from assuming there actually is an error or problem.

Is there something running in the background of your computer? Are you running raptor or anything like it? Does it happen when the Mouth of Mordy is going up the tree? Or is it right as you kill him? Is your graphics card struggling? Are you downloading anything at the same time or is anyone in your house accessing something large?

Like people have said though, this is nothing new. You aren’t the only this has happened to. Good luck, I hope you can figure out the cause.
