So as excited as I am to play the closed beta, apparently I keep getting this crash message when I try to load into silverwaste on the beta. Image provided

The strange part about this is I can log in on my normal toons, so this only occurs on my beta slot character.

I’ve tried closing and opening the client, I even restarted my computer.

Usually crashes like these have a report option but this one doesn’t

Is that Mac you are using? If so, may want to mention that.

No, its not the Mac version, its windows

So an update; this error is still occurring, but now on normal characters except this time it only occurs sometimes when loading into a pvp map, but it has happened in the middle of a fractals as I was walking, and again in Lion’s Arch.

A guildee of mine told me if my drivers were full, from what I know it’s not.

I also re-downloaded the game a couple of days ago hoping it would fix this problem, this problem has been happening to me in pvp for a couple of days.

Not sure what to do.

Another update,

I took my main, IGN, Knoxty to cursed shore now I am stuck there on the loading map receiving the same crash message I’ve been talking about.

I can log in on my other toons that are not on cursed shore.

I think I should redownload the game,

Open a bug report.

Open Computer, right click the drive GW2 is on and select properties. Under the tools tab, click check under error checking, then begin the scan. Once complete, use the -repair command.

Checked errors in drive no errors, when I did the -repair command I actually crashed except this time I could report it

All I want to do is play, I don’t know if its my computer or the game. Still can’t log onto my main character that’s trapped in cursed shore loading screen.

It says an I/O error has occurred. That usually indicates something wrong with the HD. Bad sectors or cable displaced…. something along those lines.

Did you try a CHKDSK?

Just tried it, no problems were found

I tried logging on my character in cursed sure, loaded for about 20 seconds (the time I saw the circle thin at the bottom right corner rotate) after that it stopped and the crash message pops up

update: re-downloaded the game, everything seems to be working now I am able to log on my character, I just hope i never experience this crash ever agian
