Since the 9/9 patch, some of my characters get ‘moved’ from where I log them off. Not much, but it never used to happen.

Maybe I’m on the rock by SB and it moves me to the left off the rock into the swamp.

My favorite is “Meddler’s Waypoint” in Cursed Shore. There is a short wall behind the skill point fight. I usually log out on the rocks on the other side, but after the patch, it kept ‘knocking me off’ down lower. This last time, I logged out standing ‘on’ the short wall, and now I’m ‘in’ the short wall, and can’t get out! I’m cheap, and hate spending money on way points, on principle, so I tried going to WvW and then logging out and back in to see if it would move me, and I’m still stuck.

So, there you go.

Ooo wee! What’s up with that?

LOL—1st world problem.
WP-out (don’t be cheap—you will eventually be WP all over the world without giving it a thought) or use WvW/PvP for a FREE jump to LA.
And then pick a new place to log out.

I’ve actually had this bug pop up a couple of times since the 9/9 patch as well.

Most recently, I had left my character on the ledge near the start of the Skipping Stones jumping puzzle (see attached screenie). I’ve parked a character on that same ledge in the past going through the JP. But this time I returned to the character to find that the game had moved it to the ground below the ledge. My character was not anywhere close to the edge when I swapped toons earlier and I didn’t accidentally press any movement keys while loading back into the map. My best guess is that in some places, the game is somehow not reading “solid” surfaces as…well, solid.

No it’s a new ‘feature’. Supposedly to prevent people from getting stuck in objects when they log in. It’s really just annoying though.
