Logitech G600 Mouse
I also use a G600, with the “G-Shift™” + tilt wheel to swap my weapons (tilt wheel alone strafes left and right). Other functions include binding the F key to G11, “Esc” to “G-Shift” + G11, [I]nventory and [H]ero panel to G7 and G-Shift + G7, skills 1-9 on G12-G20, and so on.
I’ve been having no mouse-specific issues, although I have noticed a bug that seems to make the character unresponsive in some situations. Could this be related?
I also remember seeing a thread a few weeks ago regarding picking up bundles or interacting with things while running. It made the character basically unresponsive while running in that direction for about three or four more seconds. A developer (I can’t remember which) said they’d look into it and try to patch it soon. Maybe this is issue is related to that one somehow?
If you swap out the mouse or use a regular keyboard button to swap weapons and you still have this problem, I would think that might indicate an issue with the game client, possibly one of the bugs I mentioned above. If you find that pressing a key (I think ` is the default) to swap weapons works flawlessly, then I would check the settings for your G600 in the Logitech Gaming Software program.

Right, strangely today it seems to be okay…. but I definitely had major lag and unresponsiveness yesterday. I’ll chalk this one down to a glitch in the matrix and be thankful it’s gone away…
I take back what I said about the bug being gone.. It was gone for a little while and then came back later on in the night… I updated the logitech software but it made no difference. Only seemed to happen to me in spvp combat, not in the mists.
I sometimes have trouble getting the game profile to load properly if I don’t set the option to “Lock profile while application is in use,” or however it’s worded in the profile properties. Given the quirks of the software, I would also suggest trying the same function on a non-Shifted button to see if the problem still occurs.
You may have already tried troubleshooting it as a hardware issue (USB ports, drivers, etc.), but if not, it couldn’t hurt. Given the lag you describe, I wonder if there could be some interference between the USB mouse and the network card. If you haven’t already done so, try plugging the G600 into another USB port, preferably the one that connects to the motherboard farthest from the network card— especially if that network card is integrated. It may not be related, but it’s always better to check, right?
Since you only saw it in sPvP combat and not in the Heart of the Mists, I wonder if it could be some kind of conflict with other keys you could be pressing. For instance, in combat, are you holding down the “Ctrl” or “Alt” keys? Using WASD to move? Maybe there’s some combination that’s causing a glitch somehow… Something that isn’t happening in the lobby area. When you tested it in the Heart of the Mists, were you moving around while pressing the weapon swap button on your mouse? Were you fighting anything, or just standing still and pressing only that mouse button? Try again and test different combinations; maybe there’s some indicator to be found in the lists of what works and what doesn’t.

Never mind. My motherboard died last weekend and I’ve finally replaced it, so now that I use my mouse again, I’m also noticing occasional lag. Mine was in the Ascalonian Catacombs, though, and I didn’t notice it as much after I closed the Logitech Gaming Software window. In fact, I didn’t notice it until I opened that window to adjust some key bindings. Do you have the mouse settings window open while you play?

I have a wireless Logitech (G700 I think…not on my home PC now), and have noticed that ever since the last patch, I get horrendous choppiness of mouse movement. the cursor jerks around on the screen, making targeting items for clicking difficult, as well as dropping AoEs. Using either single click to spin my camera will occasionally target something new in-between, as if I had let off the button and re-clicked it. I have mostly given up on jumping puzzles for the time being because holding in the left and right click together to move forward will randomly stop and restart, which means guaranteed falling if I’m in the middle of a long jump.
this happens to me a lot in WvWvW and Lion’s Arch, so I have suspected it is somehow related to server-side input lag, but I’m just guessing. there have been other indications of increased input lag that is not present over my voice comm at the same time. I have confirmed that it doesn’t matter which mouse profile I use (I change mine manually, rather than automatically by application), and that everything is 100% fine while tabbed out of the game using any other program I have tried so far. This is also a definitively new issue beginning immediately after the 1/28 patch.
when the issue has gotten bad enough that I give up and log out, I have run tests on my connection, confirming 50M down and 3-4M up with no dropped packets. again, even when it is happening, it doesn’t seem to be everywhere. but since I enjoy spending the majority of my game time in WvWvW, with some Lion’s Arch in between, this has been a game-breaker for me.
I should also note that my hardware configuration hasn’t changed since I got this game during the pre-order. I have not changed any drivers since then either. Up until now, I hadn’t had any hardware issues. I do get game crashes intermittently (twice one night, then nothing for a few weeks), and every one I have read said it was a memory crash, usually with the game trying to write to address 0, although recently I saw it crash trying to write to address 1 once (both of which I presumed were game errors trying to use invalid addresses). other addresses I have seen appear to be more legitimate, but long runs of memtest show no errors, and no other program I use crashes.

I have G600, bought it just for gw2, never have, nor am I currently, having issues with it.
GW2 has nothing to do with your mouse and keyboard inputs. If it’s lagging, it’s server side lag to general input itself, and not an ‘issue’ with your mouse in particular
EDIT: or its your mouse being faulty or the software for it being faulty. It’s one or the other.
