Guild Wars 2

Sometimes when I complete an event in Lion’s Arch (Under Attack) it will give me 10% of what I should be getting. If I usually get 2k exp, I end up with only 141 exp instead. The karma and copper are likewise reduced to 1/10. Sometimes it happens only once, other times it happens consistently 7-12 times in a row. Is anyone else having this problem? Or is there a game mechanic that I am not aware of in effect?

This has happened to me on multiple characters, on multiple servers. I also know of at least 1 guild member who experienced the same thing. I could not find any posts on this topic so I hoped to find some answers here. Thank you.

I believe it’s this Diminishing Returns thing I kept hearing about but never experienced until last night either. After 2 runs of LA I was getting like 12-15 karma per event which struck me as odd. As LA consists purely of events I imagine hitting a certain number of events in sequence may pass as “farming” and render these low rewards to push players to do something else. I swapped chars briefly and that seemed to fix things for me.

Doing 1-2 events in another zone also helps mostly to get rid of the DR.
