Looting+NPC interaction on separate keystroke
Agreed. +1. This. etc. I’ve been yelling the same thing, albeit to my screen and not at ANet. This “all purpose” keystroke is fine and well theoretically, but in many cases—such as normal, rapid-speed play—it’s a massive annoyance that can be eliminated by simply allowing the various functions to be re-bound. That functionality is present in most well-designed games, and has been for ages.
Please! Especially during hectic group battles or DEs. I don’t care what ‘the wheels’ do, or ripening wrongs. I would like to get my loot and move on. Forcing a modal dialogue over my screen while fighting that I can’t close without strategic mouse clicks is beyond annoying.
You need to take it a step further:
Interact (ie: pick up an object, push a button, flip a lever, etc)
Talk (ie: Speak with an npc)
Loot
Should all be separate buttons -
Or better yet – simply give us true autoloot, where you don’t need to hit a key to loot period. You kill / tag it / etc you get the loot when it dies, simple as that. Forcing players to open/tag corpses, is an antiquated system that should have been phased out years ago.
Yup +10 to this, it’s really annoying.
