Gmornin’
My wife & I went to go clear Lornar’s last night, and it seems most events there were not working, across the map.
There was a stuck Dolyak Escort quest, the NPC and Dolyak are just hanging out in the road, not moving or being attacked. There is a mining camp that is supposed to be being attacked by waves of Skritt, but where there should have been 7 waves, the last two never appeared, but the townsfolk were all still in ‘in combat’ mode – wont speak or trade, cowering down. An hour and a half later they were still this way. There is a skill point next to the Point of Interest “Mettes” that would not do anything, which was widely being discussed in local chat. There is a pirate camp (Suwash – HA! made me laugh) where a champion/world event (big orange horned skull icon) pirate is supposed to spawn. The pirate was dead, but the event was not registering as completed, or restarting. When approaching, the ‘New Event Nearby’ would flash, the description of the event would come up, but the health bar was empty and the pirate was laying dead in the middle of the camp with the big orange skull over her head. Her body never disappeared like it should have.
We were in Lornar’s for probably two hours, and none of these events registered as completed or restarted their chains, or changed at all. When we decided to go find another map, we did a pass back through the places we had been. The miners were still cowering, stuck on ‘Skritt wave 5’ when we left, as they were when we came in. The Dolyak was still in the same spot (still showing New Event Nearby when we approached them again) and the pirate was still dead, not disappearing.
So we went to the Hinterlands. In this map, any time she and I would get more than radar range (blue dots outside the visible area of our compass maps) away from each other, it was like being in a split party, or with someone in overflow. Her character’s face would disappear from my party window, and her blue dot would either disappear completely from my compass map, or would appear in some random area half the world map away. When we would walk back to the same spot, we would ‘rejoin’ each other. (We have side-by-side computers on one long desk, we can see each other’s screens) Also when we would ping a spot on the map, (shift-click) or draw directions, the other person could not see them. This happened whether we were showing up together or not; those functions just weren’t working in Hinterlands at all.
