According to one of the designers, each non-group event should be soloable. However, this event cannot be soloed because you need 7 golem parts and at most, 6 parts will show up. If you really want to solo it, you need to wait 2 minutes for the parts to respawn.

Also, is it really neccesary for the worms to insta-kill you even in tank gear? ’Wouldn’t the immobilize alone have been annoying enough?

err even if your in a team you would have to wait for another to spawn (which doesn’t take that long)

So I don’t see how that stops you soloing it (I’ve solo’d the event numerous times)

While the instant death can get a bit annoying it is at least avoidable, I’d rather it be a warp you to the event guy rather than a death mind.

it isn’t that hard to solo, it really helps to have swiftness and vigor to help with keeping away from the instant death, but it is entirely possible to run around the whole area where the parts spawn and get out without dieing. also, the amount of time it takes shouldn’t be considered in whether or not it can be solo’d unless the event has a time limit, and i don’t believe this one does.

How is this a bug? I completed that event at least 5 times on my own as well as in a group and never had any issues so far. The amount of parts available was designed like that on purpose so that you have to leave to return the ones you picked up and then go back for some more. Picking them all up in one swift run and still be enough to complete the entire event would make the event a bit too easy and way to fast to do.
