I listed a exotic weapon (unfortunately I forgot the name) up on the trading post for around 10 gold at the time. I later just wanted the instant 9 gold instead of waiting so I unlisted the weapon from the trading post, and then it was gone. Once I unlisted the weapon it never returned to my inventory and I’m kinda bummed because I lost 9-10 gold. I believe this is a bug but I’m really not sure. Help would be much appreciated

Since this sounds like an account specific issue, you should submit a trouble ticket.
Did you try visiting the Trading Post NPC? That’s where things from the TP end up.
