All 9 of my chars have had 100% for a long time. After the patch, they all lost it and stats on the map show i’m missing 3 heart quests. 1 in Celodim Forest, which i couldn’t see just by looking at the map and 2 in Plains of Ashford lol.

I thought that maybe new hearts have been added, but when i checked the ones in Plains of Ashford, i realised there’s no new hearts,, but ones i have already done have been reset. The very first one where u do cattle prodding and the one near the skill point guy in Tela Range.

I haven’t gone to Celodim Forest to check which one was reset there as yet. but i’m hoping Anet will fix these soon. I’m mean i don’t mind doing them again if i have to, but that’s not the point.

Anyway don’t know if anyone else has this happen, but i’ve spoken to some other folks who said they lost their 100% but didn’t find out if it was the same reason or not.

I have the same thing. Three hearts missing from all of my characters. I found the one in Caledon Forest. It is the heart right by the exit from The Grove (Astorea waypoint). It did not show up on the map until I talked to the Scout. Fortunately the Scout was visible on the map so that made finding which one was missing a bit easier.

There are 2 in Plains of Ashford. 1 straight out of the Black Citadel. There’s a small pen type enclosure to the left. The other is just north of that where the Skritt have their small cave.

Those are all new Renown Hearts added with the patch. They didn’t exist before, so that’s why they haven’t been completed.

Cattle prodding wasn’t a Renown Heart, but a Dynamic Event.

Oh truly? I thought those were hearts, but it’s been a long time since i did my last 100%.

I just wish when new things are added to the game and don’t affect your 100% world completion, they didn’t reduce your stats for it either. It just becomes rather annoying every time something new is added, you lose your 100%, especially when these new things don’t count toward it and you don’t have to do them anyway. But when i see that 100% gone to 99% or w/ever i hate it and just have to fix it. Already done it several times now and it’s happened again. Even though technically u still got your 100% it doesn’t feel like it, when every time you open that map it shows less than that.

AFAIK they’re all pre-release hearts that were removed at some stage in development, actually. There used to be twice the number of hearts we have now.

This isn’t even new content. It’s recycled old content, that wasn’t deemed fit for release.

I can’t find which hearts in Plains of Ashford were reset….Is the same for everyone? All my hearts are bright yellow…Seems a bit out of sorts that we have to go visit every heart again to see which one was reset? I don’t know how to find them if they are all bright yellow

The ones you need dont show up at the map the first time, unless you are near them. They are at the start of the starting zones.

There are some new (returned) Renown Hearts in other starter areas, as well. I’m not sure why they don’t show up as missing, maybe because the same number of Renown Hearts were removed in those areas. /shrug

I finally got around to completing the final renown hearts yesterday. Today I noticed on the world map it shows 300/303 hearts done for him. All I have left to finish in Tryia is the Cursed Shore and there aren’t any renowned hearts in that zone. After that I have the WvW maps to work on for map completion.

Essentially this means we had progress actually taken away from us. I’m hoping this is just a bug because I don’t think Anet would intentionally do that to us. At least I hope not.

Every time new things are added to a map, your World Completion percentage will go down. You won’t lose your title or anything, just have to go get the new things. It happens sometimes.

You are correct. I talked to the scout by the Smokestead Waypoint and he pointed out 2 new hearts nearby. 1 just left of the Smokestead Waypoint inside the cow pen and another straight north of that at the Greysteel Armor Waypoint.

Edit: Other renown heart in Celedon Forest. Talking to the scout near the Astorea Waypoint revealed the new heart. Looks like those are the only new renowned hearts that were added to the game. I’m back at 303/303.

Ha, I knew I remembered having done those 3 renown heart tasks! When I made a Charr alt to get the accomplishment for completing the Charr quest the hearts were not there. I played in closed and open beta tests and knew they removed some content [and even shuffled some around] so it was not a big deal.

Are those the only 3 hearts missing?

AFAIK yes these are the only ones added.

I’m sorry, but what is still a problem? See that highlighted, gold spyglass on the map, right below your cursor in your screenshot? Talk to that scout, and then the heart icons will appear on the map. Or you can simply walk to those two areas to unlock them on your map.

Except for the walking into the area part,, they dont unlock for me by walking there..
