Low performance [UPDATED-SOLVED]
I will add that the same happens to me but only since Wednesday. Before that game was running completely fine – I finished personal story in HoT, played on all maps and during most meta events without problems. For two days now I’m experiencing my game freezing for a few seconds every 15-30 seconds i think. My impression is that every time something tries to load or pop-up it freezes the game and makes it a very frustrating experience what was a smooth one.
I uploaded a video on youtube, just walking in the open world and killing a couple of mobs.
You will notice my fps in the open world with 1-2-5 people max I encounter, is 9-15fps at low settings!!! (no big events like TEQ or AURIC BASIN city)… I get 2-3+ fps when I turn the game to vertical sync and its recorded also in the video! Its ridicules.
The pc I got may not be an elite system, but it surpasses all modern amd’s. I should have 60-80fps like I did before in the open world and 20-30fps in the events, all that at high settings…
now I have 7-20 fps in the open world and 1 fps in the events, at low settings… I feel so sad trying to play events, because its like I cheat other players, that I am helping them, but I am not, because I see still pictures.
The video will have lots of freezes, its not because of the capture, I used shadowplay and does not eat resources. It is set to capture 60fps, but I am afraid its full of stills.
its up to 1080p!

Here is a video with big events, like Auric Basin lost city event. Anet must see how the game performs with an i7 and nvidia gpu (GTX 780) 3 gigs of vram.
its sad because I have no mood to enter the game, the way it performs. I had a free weekend to play and I make videos to show in ANET forums… pathetic.
I have been having similar problems. But my ping spikes when the fps drops. My fps goes back up to like 60+ though. It’s weir .
Hello I solved all the issues…
I formatted pc, I reinstalled the game, I repaired and couldnt fix it.
BUT
today I disassemble all pc parts, clean them up, I also removed the old cpu cooling paste and added a new one… and now I get 60-90 fps at world… and 30-50fps at heavy loads, at high settings.
I used the same old topic, because I created it and I thought its polite to report my new status here. The reality check is, that I cleaned my pc 3-4 months ago, but my cpu was not cleaned and not cpu cooling paste refresh for about 2 years! So I decided to give it a go.
ps: I will also upload a video with the high performance, so I may help some users through youtube.

Here is a video I made today after the fix…
Yeah, it’s possible that your CPU was overheating. Download something like this to monitor temps for future reference: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
