bug: loot receaved from monsters are lvl of the area not of the LvL of the charater.

Server: Henge of Denravi

Possilbe fixes: check coding for Randome number generated monster drop and chest drop

Locations of bug seems to happen: Asclon catacoms, Wayfer foot hills, Queensdale, Plans of Ashford, and Caledon Forest.

Dynamic Leveling
Attribute calculations: for dynamic level scaling have been rebalanced. In general, this means weaker when adjusted down, stronger when adjusted up. Rewards when adjusted down have been increased to compensate. It is now possible to receive your own level of loot from any level of enemy.

Im on sorrows furnace server and this happens to me as well. although it seems to be in specific areas only.

ya me and my fellow guildies were running around the mini dungions and tackled the swamp maw and then went to AC. and i was asking if they were getting low lvl weapons armor and such and they said no and i pinged the weapons i was getting and well ya lvl 12 weapons are not all that great luckley i have about 140 slots of inventory room. im jsut wondering if its a bug with RNG. Randome Nomber Generator.

I don’t believe it is a bug, I think you get a mix of high and low level weapons as the notes stated it was possible to recieve your own level of weapons not 100% of the time. It was most likely put in place to force people to higher level zones as opposed to staying in the level 1-15 zoenes to farm.

Not a “bug”

You only have a chance to get lvl80 equip, but you are much more likely to get low level trash when hunting in ANY area except for pure lvl80 areas. So yes, you are basically stuck with the same 5 areas once you have reached lvl80.

WvW is the ONLY place where scaling actually works (in that you only get items of your level).
