as you can see in the images below I did not wear any armor/trinkets/weapons.
the initial 20% MF is from Guild buff ( 10% ) and MF Banner ( 10% )

both cases only shows 20% MF
tested with:
– chocolate omnomberry cream
– chocolate cherries
tested in level 80 areas ( so I won’t scale down ), problem still exists

I’ve got a strange feeling this might have to do with the way MF seems to scale down to lower levels.
It really doesn’t seem like the Magic Find stat should be scaled to level at all.
i tried checking while in LA and on cursed shore where I am not scaled down, still the same, still not working.
MF has most likely not been working on that food. That’s all. Who knows how it has been working on other food. Not like they want you to loot, anyway :P
I concur, have been using Chocolate Omnomberry Creams and they show no increased magic find when under boons, yet Omnomberry bars do. It’s not like I am missing the boon window either as I have boon duration runes fitted for prolonged might etc.

The Magic Find is correctly being applied when you roll for loot, but the Hero Panel isn’t able to show some conditional bonuses. This is just a display issue.

Cool good to know for sure that its just a display issue. had been using omnomberry creams for a long time and got through a hell of a lot of them. When i noticed the buff wasnt showing up on the hero stat menu i began to panic

There was (is?) a similar issue with the Giver’s weapon condition duration, that was easily testable, and because of that it was easy to see it was not a UI bug, but a real functional bug. In addition, for a long time now (several months), I’ve suspected an issue with magic find stats seemingly being bugged after being killed, and now I see the Hero Panel, and it all makes sense. Pleas don’t take this the wrong way, but telling people it’s just a display issue doesn’t make it a testable fact.

Message: – Ryan, the Hero Panel is also not showing the Base Magic Find of Exotic/Rare/Masterwork items once the player has entered a downed state and Rally/Rez’ed. It’s permanently gone until repaired/re-equipped. Is this also not effecting our Loot Table as well?

When the mob dies, assuming Magic Find works the same way as Gold Find, which will not modify the gold dropped by bosses in dungeons if you apply it after the boss dies.
Magic Find affects loot when :
The mob dies
The loot is from looting the corpse (F to “search”)
So you gain no benefit swapping to MF gear before looting, and MF gear does not affect the world chests and such.
