Made a weapon, why is it soulbound???
Did you add an upgrade to the weapon? That will soul-bind it to the character that added the upgrade.
What did you craft specifically? Can you get a screenshot?

Yes, ive’ added two sigils. I didn’t know that would soulbind it……… welp, no point in trying i guess…
It does give a warning that upgrading it will cause it to be account bound. Unfortunately people do sometimes ignore these.

Are you sure? It became soul bound when he upgraded it.
Edit: you’re correct. I checked ingame and it does warn you that it will make it account bound if you apply an upgrade, not soulbound.

It’s probably a tool-tip error that came about when changing Ascended Gear. It’s always been that upgrading crafted gear made it soul-bound. The only ‘fix’ will probably be a tool-tip adjustment. /shrug

It’s a little of everything. It used to do the opposite too. Warn about soulbound but made it account bound. I guess we have gone through every combination now.
If you upgrade an item of masterwork, rare or exotic quality, it will become soulbound.
Basic, and fine will become account bound.
Ascended will remain account bound.

Exactly, so (a) this sounds like a tool-tip bug and (b) @OP: I hope you create a support ticket . Maybe ANet can do something to help you get this weapon (or its equivalent) to the right character.
