My character has 104% magic find gears and I can’t get any item above blue for 2 day.
No matter in dungeon or event.

I ran through the whole arah dungeon and ALL I HAVE IS BLUE!!!

That is good! Considering most drops will be junk items or whites. Think about it, magic find also increases drops of crafting material and salvage only items that usually produce well good material. It wasn’t a mistake having only 80% MF against the Claw of Jormag and and coming out of the fight finally with 51 Large Claws. Trust me MF works. If your expecting rares and exotics to drop 1 per hour…. think again.

Magic Find will only increase a rare items chance to drop. If that item had a 0.5% chance to drop before MF then with 250% MF it now has a 1.25% chance of dropping. Not a big change but definetly an increase.

Seems like a completely worthless waste of a trait if that were the case. It’s got to have a different impact then what we assume. For example, when I put on my magic find jewelry, and gobble up some 28% magic find food, I notice an instant increase in gems from ore.

And my guildie was rolling straight crit dmg gear, and me magic find, and he nabbed 3 golds in a period of 6 dungeon runs, and I didn’t have so much as a green. So..something in the perecentage/math doesnt add up. It really seems to be a complete waste so either it IS…or the programming behind it maybe isn’t right…I don’t know…does anyone know of any DEV comments on magic find? It seem so to me to be the only not straightforward stat.

From my experiences with Magic Find its working just fine. Luck is still luck, even if you buy every ball slot you still have to get lucking in the lottery. And just like you, I find more gems/pouches when harvesting with my MF gear on. But the most noticeable thing for me has been crafting mats and salvage only items. I would say rares are good too, but not nearly as solid proof as craft materials. I did however have 6 Rares drop within 30 minutes when I was in my MF gear when the Event Chains in Cursed shore were working. Though I’m more used too seeing 1 every hour.
