Just now, while fighting Tequatl with Dragonbrand, we had a serious issue pop up which caused us to lose. The 2:00 timer for defending the Megalaser is often out of sync, our server decided to head back to Tequatl at 0:20, which usually works well. The problem is that when the timer reached 0:00 the event did not end, is continued for at least 5-10 seconds after reaching zero, long enough for the enemies to pummel the batteries and fail the defense event.

This really needs to be fixed, we had a good chance of winning tonight’s run if the timer had not been 5-10 seconds off. It’s really frustrating when we do everything correctly to the best of our ability and an external issue makes us fail.

Anet likely didn’t want to remove the armor stats entirely because…well,
we’ve all seen what happens in games where there’s no disadvantage to taking your pants off.

Same kind of things are happening on storm bluff isle, we just have to guess when to run back and hope we get to teq in time to abuse his full stunned state while not loosing the batteries.

Today we attempted to kill tequatl twice. We failed both times after not having failed the event for about 30 attempts. We had bad skill lag, animation lag and timers were completely wrong.

We are also seeing a big issue of people just entering Sparkfly Fen and then standing around the eastern turrets refusing to cooperate with the few of us actually attempting to organize.

When the defend event starts, have people check in with what their timer is showing, go with whoever has the lowest time. If you’re coordinating over voip, it’s relatively easy. Doing it through mapchat, not so much. TTS kill rate has remained very high despite this issue, however it IS an issue and it needs to be fixed.

Failing a Teq fight because the start of the battery defense phase lagged out and a Risen Abom has been pummeling the laser for the last 20 seconds? Or the end of the defense phase lagging out and ending with 25 seconds left on the clock, and Teq magically teleporting to the burn/stun phase? Yea, not cool.

Yes, this is what we did, I asked over TS who had the lowest time and several of us including myself had the lowest for 40s and 20s. When the timer hit 0:00 it got stuck and the event did not end. In this same attempt we also had the problem you described where the enemies are attacking the batteries early. Our Megalaser started at about 40% because of this. We managed to protect it but the other glitch was too much.

The disheartening thing about this is that it’s completely out of our control and getting ready for the event usually takes an hour. We had 6:02 left at 75% health, although the time was not world record material, we had a chance at winning.
