Post the most recent patch, I’ve noticed that birds (saw this in WvW only so far) have three massive beams of light coming out from their bodies that cut across the entire screen. Both ranger pets and birds in the environment seem to have this. Really kills immersion. Thanks!

Okay, I gots proof! This hawk in my BL was either blessed by the gods, or sporting a major bug. The glitch was only active when it was flying.

Wow! That is incredibly hilarious! I have not seen that glitch before. I’m going to go try that now and see if it’s bugged for me too.

Well, I gave it a shot and I tried all the birds (including white raven), but they were all fine. Not glitched for me I really wanted to see that bug in the game too.

It’s probably an artifact related to his gfx card and/or driver. There are a number of posts reporting post-patch issues with such things (mesmer shatters showing checkered blocks, login screens with wild polygon displays, etc.). I just got a boring screenlock bug that requires a hard reset. At least yours is marginally amusing. ;-)

I got the same bug, like some sort of texture glitch that comes out of all birds.
Started right after March 26 update.
I get it both in PvE and WvW

And no it is not “amusing”, it’s starting to get annoying and very distracting…

This may seem like a minor problem and I guess it is most of the time but it becomes a major problem when a player in your group uses a hawk as a pet in WvW. This is very distracting when you have to view this for more than a couple of seconds.

Did you all file support tickets? I filed one a few days ago. I got a non-generic reply after sending my system report, with some “tests” to run. I still have to do it.

More awareness is better, so file a report with a screenshot or a link to this thread.
