Sea of Sorrows
(edited by ToSatellite.8295)
Hello, I will start of saying that the arah chestplate itself is a very snazzy armor piece, but this issue is really bugging me.
As you can see here, the neckpiece will always be dyed red, even when the dye remover has been applied and saved and there is no option on the armor to dye this particular spot, which vastly reduces the color palette that can be used on this armor.
I’m sure that a lot of players that endured the challenge to aquire the 360 Arah tokens required to get this armor may feel the same as I do.
I am also aware that there is a bug with transmutated armors that cannot change dyes, but this chestpiece was never transmuted, so I have ruled that possibility out.
I would appreciate it very much if a dev can look into it.

Here’s another picture with more contrast/different angle
ah now i see it in your neck indeed.. weird.. i dont got this on a Charr with the same chest. also didnt saw this before..
It’s your neck, its not"part" of the armor. For instance, stag gear does the same on my norn, but it turns my neck more brownish, for some reason.
It’s definitely part of the armor, as it gives off a different sheen(much like shiny cloth). theres a noticeable seam on it too (very hard to show in pictures) much like the seams at the ends of clothing
I also become incredibly frustrated with this permanent red, as it doesn’t mix well with many other weapon colours and armour dyes, it would be great if we could choose which colour we wanted our neck to go with our armour.
I’d like to say that this is still an issue
(just to point out, the claws can be dyed, but not the neck. Had to resort to dying the hands red to keep the neck from sticking out like a sore thumb)
This is the only reasons I mix Ruby Dye with Midnight Ice Dye for my Guardian…no other dyes look right with this armor. -_-
