Map closing when full of people doing meta
Had the same thing happen in TD a week or so ago, not that we would have beat the meta anyway, but we could have made a good try. =/
The problem is the mechanic missing where it asks you to change maps and has a countdown. Maps fill and empty so quickly and it’s possible a dead map goes on countdown to being closed and then gets filled as the meta event happens. But the timer is still counting down and the maps closes. But apparently sometimes it bugs and you don’t see the timer. Of course a better mechanic would be to stop the timer/closure after the map reaches a certain point again.
I had this occur during the last boss phase twice now.
Map closing is an issue overall. Even if the map IS underpopulated, 200% contribution is 200% contribution, and that’s just wiped away each and every time you are forced to change instances.
It’s supposed to reopen the map and not close it at all, but then again what is working with megaserver.
I remember mapping on another character about a year ago and the map would say ‘map is closing, would you like to volunteer’, chose later because the buff is basically worthless, and then not 1 min later, this option would disappear completely. Another few mins go by, it would again say the map was going to close in an hour. It repeated this I think 4 times or so. Was there for over an hour… but I’ve also gone into a map, with lots of people on it, only to have it suddenly close. It isn’t supposed to be doing this, but again it’s megaserver, it’s never worked properly.
