Presumably since the 17/5 patch (at least I didn’t notice it before), I am no longer able to see map participation and map progress in HoT maps at the top of the mini-map. Both changing maps and relogging did not resolve this issue for me. Is this an issue for more people or is it just me?

Doesn’t it only show up, now, when the Meta is active, or something like that? I don’t have it all the time. I know they changed how the HoT maps work with the Spring Update.

It’s unchanged in Dragon’s Stand, but much reduced in the other maps so that it no longer applies during the outpost event chains – it only appears at night in Verdant Brink, during the challenges and octovine fights in Auric Basin, and during the chak gerant in Tangled Depths.

You now get rewards from each event as you complete it, rather than having to wait for night to fall (which could be over an hour) to get your reward. Personally, I think the instant rewards works better.

Thanks for the clarification! I haven’t played much in the HoT maps since before the spring update so I missed that it was an intended change. It’s slightly inconvenient that there is no way to see how far the map has progressed though, as I assume the event chain progress still counts towards the final reward in the end?

No, they don’t anymore. Only your progress during the final events counts for the end reward, but there’s enough to easily get to 100% participation to get the full reward.
