I was able to play in EOTM for about 8 hours today. The past two hours Im stuck on a loading screen when entering EOTM. I found a few other bug reports about Plains of Ashford and decided to go there and see what happens and confirm that the same issue with Plains is identical to EOTM.

Same here. Can not load into EOTM without getting stuck in the splash screen (load screen).. locks character for about 5-10 minutes and gives code 7:0:0:794:101….. Then if you try to reload it automatically throws that character back stuck in the same splash screen (have to load another character after restarting game and then switch to previous character to unlock them)… Happened after son and I logged out of EOTM and I later tried getting back in. It is not a corrupted HD error, it is occurring on both our computers.

just adding that im getting stuck to when trying to enter EOTM. its been like this for me all afternoon gets to the spash screen and just sits there.

On the forums to report the same error. Since there hasn’t been an update today, this has to be on the server side. For me I’ve been trying to get on EotM and failing.

Same here. For me, it was EotM map.
Since 3 hrs ago, I kept getting stuck on loading screen whenever I entered EotM.
Been playing EotM the entire afternoon just fine until around 9:30 pm PST, when the bug started to happen.

Same for me everytime i enter Eotm it stuck this is not a joke FIX IT

ok i cannot play that character at all now. its been over an hour and he hasnt gone back to Lions Arch as soon as i log in with him it goes straight to the EOTM splash screen and sits there

From another thread, log in and select a different toon then get into a party with someone and switch to the bugged toon. Worked for me earlier tonight.

I just wanted to add that as of today Sunday 8th February since around 10:00am Server Time, I have been unable to enter EOTM for the very first time on all my characters. The issue is that stays on the loading screen and after about 3min it disconnects me. The only solution I found is the Alt-F4 on the other forum thread to be able to login to the old map I originated from.

May I know what is the resolution or advisable course of action to fix the problem?

Note: I am located on the Sea of Sorrows

Yep, this just happened to me. My Ranger is now stuck in the EOTM loading screen and I can’t get him out. ANet please.

Friend and I are having the same problem, only with EOTM. Same on all characters, though they’re able to be ported back after a few game restarts/login attempts on that toon.

I always did these steps to free my character from the EotM forever loading screen:

1. Close client completely
2. Login to the game again with a different (non-stuck) character
3. Stay on and walk around with that character for about 2-3 minutes
4. Log out from the game (not the character selection)
5. Repeat step 2
6. Go back to character selection screen and choose the stuck character

Just to increase on the list.
- Yesterday : A friend of mine got stuck on plains of ashford for more than 10 minutes.
- Today : I got stuck on caledon forest and didn’t got able to log until I restart the client, swapped characters, and got the same char again. (Also, my other 4 party member got stuck). Just when we finished TA foward path, and we clicked to leave the dungeon.

I am seeing the same thing happen in all maps. Get stuck in the loading screen while way pointing in a zone. Has happened with Lion’s Arch, Caledon Forest, Frostgorge Sound as well. I have a feeling it is not just map specific.

Update: after waiting it out the loading screen the following error appears: “The game client has lost connection to the server. Please try again in a few minutes… Error Code 7.”

You stayed in the party when you switched toons? I actually joined a party then logged out and logged back in to switch toons. You stay in a party even when you log out.

yup happening on Sparkfly Fen during our Guild Trek which of course caused it to fail. sucks.
